Treasure Cae Marina Anchorage and Resort

We had a fast sail across the sea of Abaco to Treasure Cae. This is a protected anchorage, marina and a resort.  We came here on March the 1st.  You must pay to anchor here but what the heck......internet, hot water and great people!  There is a lot of sailors that make this area their home for the winter.  Treasure Cae is one of the 10 best beaches in the world!  One thing that amazes us that there is nobody on the beach.  It is laid back and all yours.  I wish I had a polarized lens to take these pictures.  It just takes your breath away from all the colors.

There are lots of Water Birds here.  A large Blue Heron foot print in the sand.

This is the first 1,000 pound sail fish that was caught in the Abacos.  It was caught in 1996.

This is the Bar/Internet Cafe and on Pizza Night the place is just packed!

The Marina and Pool

The Anchorage in the far distance.  We are in the Anchorage and use our water taxi to get to shore. The first cold front blew through here yesterday.  Wow 33 knot winds with more wind gusts.  A few boats picked up their anchors and headed into the marina.  Only 1 boat dragged their anchor.  We are on a "private" mooring ball, thanks to Clarity.  They are in Hope Town and will be returning after the cold front passes.  Tuesday another one will be blowing through.  This is a great place to hide and we hope to be out on the Sea of Abaco by the weekend.
